Local residents with caring responsibilities are invited to an event at the United Reformed Church in New Malden on Thursday 4 May 2023, between 5 and 8pm.
The event will feature an introduction from Debbie Hustings, England’s Unpaid Carers Lead, and a selection of stalls held by local organisations giving carers information and advice around:
- Looking after your own health
- Planning for the future
- Benefit support
- Basic health checks (blood pressure, cancer screening, blood sugar level checks and more)
Free goody bags and dinner will be available on the evening.
There will also be people on hand to support the individual you care for if you wish for them to attend the event with you, giving you the chance to chat and find out more about the above.
